All bodies such as humans, animals, plants, objects etc. give off electro-magnetic rays which are dependent on the
temperature. This law of physics is put to use in Thermography which transforms these rays into image information.
These images are produced totally independent of light or darkness. Thermal imaging cameras work therefore in pitch-dark nights exactly the same as by day. It is amazing however, that these cameras can also see
through fog, smoke, rain etc. and can make bodies part- ly visible that are hidden behind bushes or shrubs etc.
